High-Purity Processing for Battery Materials

Battery-Grade Processing Standards
Ultra-High Purity
Electropolished SS316L, Ra ≤ 0.2μm. Metal-ion contamination control (< 10 ppb Fe, Cr, Ni) for cathode materials.
ATEX & Inerting
Nitrogen blanketing, oxygen monitoring < 1%, explosion-proof motors, and conductive grounding for solvent-containing processes.
Temperature Control
Heating to 300°C for calcination precursors. Cooling jackets for exothermic reactions. Precise ±2°C uniformity.
Vacuum Processing
Vacuum drying to -0.098 MPa for solvent removal and moisture-sensitive materials. Integrated heating + vacuum options.
APPLICATIONS
Battery Material Applications
Cathode Active Materials (CAM)
LFP, NMC (111/532/622/811), LCO, NCA precursor mixing with lithium source. Plough shear mixers with heating for solid-state synthesis. Uniform lithium distribution critical for electrochemical performance.
Anode Materials
Natural/artificial graphite, silicon, silicon oxide, LTO. Ribbon mixers for pitch coating and carbon precursor blending. Inert atmosphere for carbonization precursors.
Electrolyte Precursors
LiPF6, LiFSI, and solvent/additive blending. Vacuum-capable mixers with corrosion-resistant SS316L for fluoride-containing materials. Moisture-sensitive processing.
Solid-State Electrolytes
LLZO, LATP, sulfide-based electrolytes. High-energy plough shear mixers with inert gas glovebox integration. De-agglomeration of nano-sized ceramic powders.
Conductive Additives
Carbon black, CNT, graphene dispersion in NMP/solvent. Double paddle mixers with high-shear for slurry preparation. Vacuum de-aeration capability.
Precursor Co-Precipitation
NMC hydroxide precursor mixing with pH-controlled solution addition. SS316L ribbon mixers with liquid injection and temperature-controlled jackets.

Plough Shear Mixer (LDH Series)
The go-to mixer for battery material synthesis. High-speed fluidized bed ensures uniform lithium distribution in CAM precursors. Available with heating (300°C), vacuum, ATEX, and inert gas blanketing. 0.3L–15,000L.
Double Cone Mixer (DCM Series)
GMP/Battery-grade SS316L with electropolish. Vacuum drying capability. Gentle tumbling action for moisture-sensitive electrolyte precursors. IQ/OQ/PQ documentation.
Ribbon Mixer (WHJ Series)
Up to 20,000L for mass production of battery materials. Heating/cooling jacket option. Liquid spray bar for coating processes. SS316L construction.
Vacuum Conveyor (VC Series)
Fully enclosed pneumatic conveying for sensitive battery powders. Prevents contamination and moisture pickup. Ideal for transferring between processing steps in a dry room.
