What makes a double paddle mixer different from a ribbon mixer?

The twin counter-rotating paddle design creates an intensive overlap zone and is described for pastes, doughs, slurries and high-viscosity materials. Ribbon mixers are commonly selected for free-flowing dry powders.

Can it handle wet or paste materials?

Yes. The existing DPM application range includes pastes, doughs, slurries and wet granulation masses, with liquid addition available via spray bar.

What model range is available?

The listed DPM series ranges from 100L to 10,000L, with DPM-200, 800, 1500 and 3000 also available.

Can vacuum operation be added?

Vacuum operation is an available option for deaeration during mixing when air entrapment is a process concern.

Introduction

Double shafts paddle mixer is high-performance mixer for powder, granules, liquid additives, short fibres, etc. like for mixing moistening, agglomerating, and granulating material, which is widely used in food, feed, chemical, dry mortar industries etc.

With the most powerful motor and double shaft paddle structure, material can be mixed evenly in the shortest time. It is particularly good at mixing material with big difference in gravity, mesh size, fluidity. Four or two hatches on the side of the machine (depending on the size of the mixer) ensure easy and hygienic cleaning of the system.

This is due to the rapid and intense tumbling and scattering of the materials by the interlaced paddle blades.

To reduce the cost of replacing vulnerable parts, the paddle blades can be made in a two-piece design. A movable small blade is placed on the blade base, allowing for direct replacement of worn-out small blades. This approach is economical and efficient.

Standard valve for double shaft paddle mixer is twin pneumatic planar flap valves. When close the valve, the planar flaps match the mixing barrel perfectly, this makes no mixing dead zone and better mixing effect.
