Dry mortar and construction powder production

High tonnage, abrasive fillers, and a product that is judged on site by how it trowels — construction powders reward simple machines built heavily.

A dry mortar plant runs the same recipe thousands of times. The mixer does not need to be clever; it needs to hold its tolerances while eating sand, cement and mineral filler shift after shift.

Ribbon mixers do most of this work: 100 L to 4,000 L batches, wear-resistant troughs and agitators, and a discharge that empties completely so the next batch is not contaminated by the last. Wet or high-viscosity products — gypsum plasters, repair mortars, some tile adhesives — move to a double paddle machine instead.

Built for abrasive, continuous duty

Wear resistance

Hardfaced agitators, replaceable wear strips and heavy-gauge troughs for sand- and cement-based products.

Throughput

Batch sizes from 500 L to 4,000 L with cycle times that let the plant hit its tonnage per shift rather than per hour.

Bulk handling

Big bag filling with a dust-tight inflation seal, plus screw conveyor loading from silos so the mixer is fed at a controlled rate.

Continuous-duty reliability

Heavy-duty geared motors, oversized bearings and a frame designed for 24/7 operation rather than intermittent batches.

Construction material applications

01

Dry mortar

Cement, sand, cellulose ethers and redispersible powders blended at 2,000–4,000 L per batch.

02

Tile adhesive and grout

Cementitious and epoxy-based formulations with fine fillers and polymer additives, where short cycles must still give a uniform colour.

03

Gypsum and plaster

Stucco, joint compound and plaster of Paris — high-viscosity products that need a paddle machine rather than a ribbon.

04

Putty powder

Wall putty, skim coat and smoothing compounds: fine fillers plus binder, blended to a consistent texture.

05

Self-levelling compounds

Cement- and calcium-sulfate-based floor levellers, where trace additives decide flow behaviour.

06

Waterproofing and repair mortars

Polymer-modified coatings and repair products with latex or polymer liquid addition during mixing.

Frequently asked questions

What is the largest batch available?

The ribbon mixer goes to 4,000 L gross volume — roughly 2,400–2,800 kg on a typical dry mortar at 1.2–1.4 bulk density.

Will the machine survive sand and cement?

Yes, with the wear package: hardfaced agitator, replaceable liner strips and heavy-gauge trough. We quote the liner as a consumable so replacement is planned rather than a breakdown.

Can it be fed from a silo?

Screw conveyors handle silo-to-mixer transfer at a controlled rate, and dust collection at the charging point keeps the plant clean.
